BathHIC has an eclectic view on what we could invest in; there is no common theme. They are just shares in which individual club members have confidence and in which they have persuaded their colleagues that we should add to our dummy portfolio. We do not try & index track or benchmark hug; and there is no intention to construct a model diversified portfolio.

Whilst we are not exclusively orientated to the American stock market, we accept it currently has some interesting and dynamic companies especially in the technological field, and are happy to have up to half our holdings there.

At the time of writing we have 9 "holdings" in 6 sectors: 29% in Pharma & Biotech, 23% in Industrials, 13% in Retail, 12% in Housebuilding & Construction,  11% in Alternative Energy, and 12% in Natural Resources. ​
