Bath Heritage Investment Club was founded in November 1998 by some members of the Bath Sailing Club, since when membership of the Investment Club has fluctuated from 12 to 5. We are a lively and enthusiastic bunch. The nine existing members live in Bath or within easy reach. All current members are retired or semi-retired. Many have corporate backgrounds, several at board level; two are accountants, one a scientist, one an engineer, one a management consultant & former civil servant, one an architect, one in software, and one in chip manufacturing around the world - all have their own portfolios.
After many years of trading, and some financial success (we kept ahead of the FTSE Allshare TR over the final 6 years), BathHIC decided to cease trading in August 2023; and instead to focus on increasing our knowledge of the financial markets and in trading strategies, as well as identifying new opportunities in the stock market - for the benefit of our own personal portfolios. The club is still very much interested in individual shares; and, although no longer trading, runs a successful dummy portfolio.
